The DASHRUN Returns This Summer!

This summer we will be bringing out of retirement one of the games that started the whole thing for Cashunt. Starting in July we will be offering The DashRun.. The DashRun was the first game we ever offered when we were starting out 12 years ago. The DashRun will start off from Salem, Ma and end off in Boston, and everything in between will be in play! We dusted off the old blueprint of this multi-city competition and tweaked it to fit more of a 2012 setting, where the challenges are new and fun. The DashRun will be a 4 hour game that will only be conducted on Sundays from June all the way to September. As always all media from the event will be free to our clients 24hrs after the event. Additional Twists..

So as we approach our 12th season of Cashunt in a couple of weeks we always love to recreate ourselves this time of year just to make things always "fresher" for our upcoming players. So what do we have in store this upcoming season will involve a few different aspects to the game in a tech level as well as a strategic level. How we are coming to approach this aspect of our games will be by us including 4 additional pages to our game books. Now by what we have seen thus far it looks pretty cool and we also included these new aspects in "test games" this past summer to see if they indeed work and they did perfectly. A couple of weeks ago we had a viral campaign called Operation: Lenguini that if read closely led the public to some cool promotional prizes as well as one individual scoring a pair of tickets to an upcoming bruins game in a week from now. As always we encourage our readers to follow us on our facebook and twitter pages, at times we issue viral campaigsn that will lead the public to some cool prizes and the best thing is they are FREE. Our mission from year to year is to continue growth as a business and as a product by giving what the public want and by leading the pack in this wacky industry. Going Smart...

If there was something I had been trying to avoid not getting our games into is using “smart technology” in our games. As of this past season we have had several individuals call us and ask us if we offer that type of game, which we didn't at the time. After researching it a little bit and knowing that a few games companies within the country does use “smart technology” we went ahead and created a test game this past fall. The game worked out pretty smoothly and I was pretty happy with the results, but quite frankly just using smart phone technology I think limits the game and quite frankly that's not what our games are known for. So we tweaked it, and tweeted again and we have created a game for 2012 which will be tentatively called “The Smart Sprint” it will be the only game we offer that will use smart phone technology. The game will also include additional challenges that are typical to a Cashunt competition, honestly we wouldn't have it any other way and I believe our players would agree. We are looking to offer "The Smart Sprint" in the Summer of 2012. We will also be offering a couple of promotions prior to that time to get people interested in using this technology and playing for free by having contests that will be open to the public. All you would need is an Iphone or Android phone and we will let you know what Free App you will need to download to play and you are all set! The promotions will start in the Spring of 2012 and will be posted unexpectedly on our Facebook fan page, these contests will have prizes in the form of tickets to sporting events , restaurant gift certificates, local Boston tours and more. More details will come next year when we come closer to the reveal...

Hunting across the pond

From our last post we had indicated that we have now a department on our website that now offers “do-it-yourself” versions of some of our top games. The games have had a great start and the response has been great. We will also be introducing international versions of our games with the first one being "The London Dashunt". This game will be available most likely in the month of December and will be the first of four games that will be designed for an international market. The reason for this is because we have been seeing a big draw in international interest. We will be announcing each new location the moment they are available to the public, but as of right now we only see four for 2012. We will keep you posted on this blog and of course on our social media fan sites that being Facebook, LinkedIn, and twitter. That's it for now have a good week!

Museums to be a part of library in 2012

This is one area we have been playing around with for the past few years and I think we are ready to add museum games in our library. There are versions out there that involve indoor scavenger hunts in museums and what we found them to be is a tad dull. So we said to ourselves if we were to create a game in a museum what would we do in order to make it fun and entertaining and less feeling like a tour. So we have created a couple of versions that in typical Cashunt form will include multiple challenges that will keep our players on their toes throughout the game. Theses games will be in beta form from December 2011 thru February 2012..and after that trial time we will be offering it in a full time basis in the spring, These games were supposed to be ready and active in 2010 but we really didn't like what we were about to release so we decided to rethink it and go back to the black board to give our players the ultimate museum scavenger hunt experience. Old School VS New School

Old School vs New School has been a battle when it comes to technology especially in this day and time. Now, I happen to be a huge fan of tech and have been for many many years. But I have to admit, I am a bit old fashioned when it comes in and tries to take over old concepts. I am not crazy about the idea of books now being replaced by tablets and DVDs being replaced by streaming video, it has become the death of book, video and music stores/chains. Now it has even entered the now "Scavenger Hunt Industry"...(never thought in a million years their would be such a thing by I was told recently that it does) I assume it's a good thing ;)

There are companies that use hand held smartphone and have now created "scavenger hunt like" apps. To those companies I think they are fantastic companies and I respect them to utmost..but the old fashioned interaction of a physical scavenger hunt can never really be replaced by an app. I think there should be a "physical social" element that should be personal and upfront and to be quite frank becomes much more enjoyable and talked about. Social physical interaction might start becoming a thing of the past and as the years go by and if we continue to hibernate in our homes in front of computers, tablets and smart phones, then the human element of socializing will eventually diminish. So we must try to swerve that from happening and as entrepreneurship I think it our duty to keep that aspect alive. At the end of the day it's very very important and it will show in your customer's reviews.

Creating Your Buzz..

The one thing I love to see is when certain businesses or individuals stand out from their pack, it's a very interesting thing to witness and study. People have mentioned that in order to stand out and reach a successful level, you must not be boring. Simply stated "people do not talk about "boring" they talk about "interesting, controversial funny, inspiring..but never ever do they talk about.. boring. One thing I have always said is that if I was in a room that contained several people of various respectful occupations (salesperson, attorney, carpenter, dentist, and a clown from Ringling Brothers Circus) I would have no problem starting a conversation with the clown in the room...why?....he's interesting. Now am I saying for you to join the circus or the other occupations mentioned are not good ones? Of course not. What I am pointing out is that interesting individuals occupations, or businesses create interest and get people talking. Businesses such as the apparel comapny called "Johnny Cupcakes" that has rerevoultionized the t-shirt business to one of the biggest rebels in business and a personal hero of mine Sir Richard Branson of the Virgin Group are people that stand out and get people excited as to what is coming next.
I believe most people have that ability to outshine from the pack, I see it often when I speak to people that are very passionate about something. When I see that in someone, I get very excited because I can feel their energy and I know that they are capable of becoming that interest and creating something special. The problem with that? 90% never follow through and that is very disappointing. The most popular excuse of not following through is quite simply "I do not have time"..guess what you do. Do you watch TV, sports, spend hours on the internet..then if you do..simply get off the couch and do something with that time, be productive, study, and keep learning it will turn out very well in the end. Create that swagger , that interest , that will make people notice and it does get contagious.
You have been given a ticket to your life that eventually has an experation date that none of us knows when that will be. So with that said it's a gift that you want to use and make something of it..that is clearly not boring. When you grasp that and continue to educate yourself on that passion it will be a part of your identitiy from that day on...

Marriage Proposals & Some Changes Taking Place

So as we wait on the eve of Hurricane Irene, I figured I would keep you up to speed as to what is going on at this moment in our little universe that we call CASHUNT! As you might remember that in our last blog that we had been approached by several suiters for us to design and coordinate their marriage proposals using our game.. I'll be the first to say I was totally skeptical when it came to this uncharted ground, but after coordinating a couple of proposals all I can say after both girls screamed "YES!!!" it was a Piece-Of-Cake :) This for some reason landed on or lap without even thinking about designing this sort of thing, now that we got the hang of it and we are being challenged with each "proposal call" we get.. I think we may just have stumbled onto a new venture..stay tuned:)
The next thing that I wanted to mention are two big changes that will be taking place asap. First will be our annual championship. The championship always took place every April of the following year because of the weather quite frankly here in New England was not doable for a game here in the winter. With that said we will be hosting our championship game in October so we can have the final within the current season as opposed to the start of the new upcoming season. We thought by waiting too long might tarnish the thrill of the championship and holding it every October keeps it fresh and our invited teams are even that more enthusiastic! So this season's Championship XI will take place in Salem, Ma on October 30th at noon!
The second change will be in regards to team photos and videos, all team photos and videos will be up now for 2 months and will be available for purchase at very affordable prices and will be given a variety of different options for professional printing as well as some cool gift options that will present great memories from your game. That will start taking place with anyone that books a game a starting September 1, 2011.
With that said we are closing in on the tail end of our 11th season...we still have many, many games to go until we close this chapter. There are some new things up the pike that we are pretty excited about but do not want to hint about it until it is all official.

Wow it's been a loooong time!

I know it has been a long time since I last posted but as always this time of year it get's really crazy..so I guess that's a good thing! A lot has transpired since we last posted we won a Certificate of Excellence Award from Tripadvisor which is pretty cool :) Also we are about to launch our home game version of Cashunt into the market which we have been working on for sometime (packaging etc). Now for the strangest part of what has entered our universe..."marriage proposals"?!?! Yes, and we are pretty shocked about the turn out. The funny thing we never offered this service..but a couple of people called and asked us if we can help them propose..and then all of the sudden the phones started ringing with the same request. Sometimes I feel as if I was Will Smith in the movie Hitch..LOL! So I guess it's a good thing and something new to add in our arsenal ...I just hope no one says NO on the proposal..that would suck. One thing in business I have always understood that is that expect the unexpected and when it happens..jump right on that train! I will be more elaborate on all the prior mentions, and really give you all more insight as to everything that is going on this season. Speaking of which.. Season 11 is insane, a lot of new faces and a lot of old faces has revisited the competition. Obviously that always brings a smile to my face when I see that, but with the updated versions of all our games..the competition just keeps becoming....Epic.

Special one time games for Moms and Dads!

We figured we would add two new seasonal games to our library this year and those games are geared specifically for Mother's and Father's Day. We would see in the past years how families wanted to get together on those holidays to play the Boston Mad Dash. So we figured why not create two games for families for those two specific days. So we went and created "The MomdasH" and "The DadasH", these two games are completely designed towards the guest of honor. With these games clients can submit certain information about either their mom or dad and we create a game around them. The games were announced last week and already our MomdasH for mother's day on May 7th is Sold Out! For more information on these two games and availability give us a call!

Some changes to the championship this year..

One of the most viewed pages on our website is the championship page. This is where cashunt teams can view where they rank with all the other teams for a possible shot to our annual championship. What we have always listed were the top 100 teams of the year but we are going to cut it to the top 50, this is simply because of the page load time. The other thing we are changing is the championship date itself, we would always host the championship game the following year in the month of April. This was due because the season always ends in the winter and you can't expect to play a championship in the snow :) So as of this season all Championship games will be hosted in the Fall in the months of either October/November, by changing the date we keep the championship in the current season.

The Difference...

There are times that I might speak to a potential client and one of their top questions are..."What sets you apart from other companies that offer scavenger hunt competitions?" Great question! I can't tell you all how many times in 11 years I had to answer that question..and honestly I am never tired of it. The answer is pretty simple great price, great experience, and great promotions..with that said I think we stand above the other competitors because I don't think they would drop their price to offer the same thing. Most of our competition is double the price from what we offer, and 1/4 of what we offer Now we can clearly charge the amount our competitors do...but why should we? The old saying goes "if it's not broke..." We love to hear when people are inquiring about our games and ask "so everything that you mentioned is in one packaged game at that price?" Our answer..absolutely! At the end of the day it's about the client and giving them the ultimate experience at an affordable price with a professional look all around it. With all do respect to other companies that offer scavenger hunt competitions all the power to them, that have great businesses and they are doing very well. We on the other hand our doing our thing and our clients have been happy for the past 11 seasons..and that's all that matters :)

Boston Mad Dash Deluxe Kicked Off This Past Saturday!

So after really trying to design and redesign the Boston Mad Dash Deluxe so it would make a worthy sequel to the original BMD, it was time to give it a go on 2/19. We started off at Harvard Square in Cambridge, Ma and had all the teams ready for what was going to be a fun and most importantly unexpected experience. The challenges that were set forth were place perfectly throughout the city and fell perfectly onto this new game pallet . At the end of the event we regrouped at the Hard Rock Cafe at Faneuil Hall, and the response was fantastic!...WHEW! There is nothing more nerve racking during the launch of a new game then awaiting the review. In the end.. the reviews were brilliant and that is always the most satisfying aspect to a new game. Deluxe presents a longer and more wide spread game then it's original, at the end of the day bigger is not always better but better is bigger.

Keep in mind Deluxe is only for private game not public, but the original Boston Mad Dash can be booked for both.

Team Pictures and Videos Important Information!

Hello Cashunters, This update is all about the team pictures and videos our clients receive from their game. As always clients receive all their photos and videos from their game where they can download them for Free throughout the whole season. Being that we are using a 3rd party site in order to host all those files/folders, it has come to our attention that there is good chance of it crashing unless we maintain and trim out the weight from time to time. With that said, all team files will be available for download for a three month time period from the time of your game. If you still want a copy of your event's media files after that time period we can send them to you on a DVD for a small fee. If you have any questions please feel free and you can speak to a game coordinator by calling 866-276-4733.

"special" one time competitions scheduled for this spring/summer/fall

So what is going to make these competitions so "special". Well right now we are working with a third party to promote the Boston Mad Dash for a one time discounted event through their company. What makes it special is that again it will be discounted and will be open to the public. The only catch is, that you must register as a team of a minimum of 4 to play and we will not be providing cameras for these 3 dates you must bring your own. There will be only 3 dates for this type of event and we are looking for a big turn out on each (spring, summer, and fall). For people that have played The Boston Mad Dash before it will not be the same game there will be 4 challenges instead of 6 but the will be fun and wacky as all our games are. We will announce what those 4 challenges soon as well releasing the dates and the company we have joined forces with to promote these "special" events. We are also looking to announce "special" competitions in Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia . We will keep you posted.

The Bachelor Dash Returns!

After retiring The Bachelor Dash a few years ago we decided to reinstate the game. The reason is pretty simple for 2 reasons one: The typical Bachelor party is becoming a thing of the past and people are looking for alternatives and two: we got a lot of calls last year if we have a bachelor version to the Bridal Dash. So after hosting several games for bachelors last year we figured why not reinstate the game all together. Naturally one of out anchor games "The Bridal Dash" always grabs attention and continues with it's own popularity year after year amongst the Bachlorette market but we have nothing for the guys. We never believed that there was a market out there so we decided to pull it but as of last year we were mistaken and we found out indeed there is market out there.

So the Bachelor Dash will be the complete flip side of the Bridal Dash where the game will consist of 6 challenges customized around the groom. Bachelor Dashes have already started booking for the year, so if you know someone that might be interested let them know!

Season 11 has taken flight...

HAPPY NEW YEAR CASHUNTERS!!

So first it's an amazing feeling to announce that we have started with out 11the season of Cashunt! We set a couple of weeks to rest and then we are back in full throttle! We started our season last week in (a snow storm to say the least) after trying to convince our players "that it's not a good idea to play in the snow"...they were not having it..LOL We have had "diehard" players in the past..but this would be up there as a bit extreme, but in the end with the snow and all they had a fantastic time:) So as always we will keep you up to date with the small changes we have made as well as the typical that we do every year (updated lists, etc) So the following is what we have in store for you thus far:

As always this time of year we always have great promotions when it comes to the upcoming season! So this Holiday Season we will be offering a 10 player package Boston Mad Dash Game for any date in the upcoming year for simply $300 that is a $50 savings from the retail price of $350. A normal ticket price for a Boston Mad Dash Scavenger Hunt competition is $35pp but with this special promotion the ticket price will be $30pp. When you purchase your gift certificate it would be a good idea to let us know a date you have in mind especially if it is a weekend... If you don't, no worries you can let us know at a later time (we would suggest a month prior to the date your looking at) for more information about this promotion you can speak to a game coordinator and we will give you all the details. This promotion ends 12/31/10.

Take Home Cashunt Update

For a few years now several people from out of state asked us if we offer "take home games" for those that do not live in the Cashunt cities being Boston, Chicago and NYC. We have thought about it over and over again and the answer is that we will be offereing a condensed version of our live game into a "take home game" that anyone can host. There will be 2 versions of it one that will be a very general version of the game and another will be designed for certain cities around the country and some international cities such as London, Montreal, etc. The price point has not been determined as of yet but it will be a more affordable version from our live games but again a much smaller redesigned game that will be easier to put together. Games such as the Bridal Dash, Birthday Dashunt, Haunted, Holiday Hijinks, Hide N' Seek, etc will not be converted to home games.. The Cashunt Home Game will be available starting 1st Quarter of '11.

The Boston Mad Dash Deluxe & The Singles Dashunt 2011 Annoucement.

As we do every year we introduce a couple of new games for our library and retire some old ones. There will be 5 news games that will be included in the 11th Season of Cashunt. Two that we can announce right now will be The Singles Dashunt and The Boston Mad Dash DELUXE. The ever popular Boston Mad Dash will continue to be offered to the public, but in Deluxe it will be a much bigger game with a bigger playing field (a big chunk of Boston) new challenges and one hour longer (3hrgame). So if you have played the original and want a new challenge I think Deluxe will be perfect. We tested the new version out in October and the reviews have been great..so we honestly do not see anything we need to tweak on Deluxe as ready to go on 3/1/11.
The other game we would like to announce that will be available starting 2/12/11 will be "The Singles Dashunt" this game will be offered once a month and will be geared to singles. We just felt with speed dating, blind dating, etc. this would be a fun and a very easier alternative to meeting new people. By setting the tone of fun competitions we will place our singles into teams as they will need to work together in order to come up victorious with the wacky challenges we have in store for them. In the end they all will receive photos and videos from the event as it is customary with Cashunt and hopefully create new friendships and relationships. As always we are trying to make an old concept new and hip again without feeling awkward and having a lot of good memories and laughs along the way.

Boston Mad Dash Deluxe will start games March 1 ,2011 Bookings (January 5, 2011)
The Singles Dash will start games February 12, 2011 and will be held on the 1st Saturday of each month at 11am.

So What's With This $500 T-shirt Collection?!?

We have been getting this question a few times after our games ever since we annouced it in early October. What it is is that you will be able to buy a tshirt, sweatshirt, etc between $40 to $60 dollars that the artwork on the front and back of the item will have clues as to where there is $500 hidden somewhere in New England. Now this will be running for 1 month, so when someone finds the envelope containing $500 and take a picture with their special t-shirt on will win that prize. Once a location has been found that location will be closed but there will be other locations that will be alive because each shirt will have a variety of different locations hidden within the artwork. Obviously one prize per player, the beauty of this promortion is that the majority of all the sales will be going to hopefully St. Jude's. The bigger the percentage the better:) We have to finalize that with them and try to make the clothing fun and hip with obviously a purpose:) Some of the preliminary designs look pretty cool that you would never think there would be a hidden message within it :)Shirts will be on sale March 1 to 31st 2011 and the contest will take place that same month as well. So we ask you again would you wear a t-shirt worth $500?

Reinvention...

Hi there Cashunters! hope all is well and you Fall has started off the right foot! As I write this to all of you, we are about 2 months away from closing our 10th chapter to Cashunt and preparing for our 11th. Every time at this point of the year we start working on what will be in the horizon of the Cashunt universe for the following year, and with that comes reinvention.. The reinvention of our games have been an annual practice and it constantly makes the Cashunt brand new and refreshed. We retire games, create new ones and always update the games in our library because we never want repeat customers to think that have the game all figured out ...when they really don't ;) 2011 or Season 11 as we would like to call it, will have all of these elements in the upcoming year, plus more. The culture of our business is to give our customers/players more and at a fantastic price that they will talking about it to their friends for a long time. It's always a great thing to hear, when a repeat client that had played the game a year ago calls our office to book another game and that they still talk about their game experience to this day...Bingo! That is music to our ears!! So you may ask.. what do we have in store for you? Can't let all of the cat out of the bag just yet..but I can tell you a little :) Some of our anchor games will be reinvented with new bonus rounds and brand new lists to make it even more challenging. We will be offering a "Deluxe" version of our Boston Mad Dash that will cover far more ground with new challenges. Also the southeast might be in play.. Right now that is a very little taste as what to expect in 2011 but there are a couple more announcements that will not be official until the first of the year. The Philadelphia and Washington Dashes will be for only Teambuilding events as well as monthly public games. More information as we get closer to the new year.

Boston Globe Article Is a Bit Misleading...

So I had got word that an article we did with the Boston Globe a few weeks ago would be out today at the news stands and we must say we were very excited when found out. Front page lead ...WOW! Cover Story.....WOW! Two Page Spread ...DOUBLE WOW!!. Then I read it.... I must say the article is very well written and the subject is targeting Bachlorette Scavenger Hunts. How this article was written is that the reporter went onto two bridal scavenger hunts, those being our game "The Bridal Dash" and our competitior's version of a bachlorette scavenger hunt(which we were fully aware of). Where the problem falls is that a good portion of the article details more risque portions of the other hunt which is more Adult in nature and in turn makes our "family friendly/clean game" seem just as dirty.. With no mention of our game being clean, which bothers us a bit because we find it misleading and we work so hard to successfully get that message out for 10 years now. The shocking part of this whole thing is our voicemail at the office has past clients calling us and see if we read the article and they were concerned. That is pretty awesome to hear, that you guys would care so much. But yes we were fully aware that this article was coming out, and we did contact the reporter to see if she could correct it in a future issue. It's clearly a mistake and there is no blame to anyone. It just I wanted to write this to ensure that Cashunt has NOT taken a turn to more risque games, we always have been and always will be a fun, funny, competitive , family friendly game :)

So earlier this year we had Tara's Tribe break what we thought was an unbreakable record held from the then record holders and current Cashunt Champs Team Jumpstart. Now it happened again.. with one of the most competitive teams that have emerged in our 10 year history and the go by the name Peanut's Posse. These girls came to play and play they did, they played the game using the three words we encourage each team to utilize before each and every game. Delegate ...Improvise ... and use Strategy..and they did and the end result..Peanut's Posse is the current top spot holder for the championship game and also new record holders! Just when you think something can't be broken....think again!

This year has been an interesting year to say the least as to how much traffic is coming from Philadelphia to Boston. It seems like every 3rd game we have are people visting from philadelphia as opposed to the typical (NYC Conn, RI, etc) So with that said, every single client that is from philadelphia and has played the game continued to ask us why Cashunt has not visted philadelphia? So hearing it for several times a month we took the liberty and did some research...and the result was perfect. Philadelphia has everything that Cashunt asks for (walking town, history, great props, etc) so we are annoucing as of April 2011 that The Philadelphia Mad Dash will be arriving. Bookings will start as of March 2011, we are really excited that this is taking place and we are pretty surprised we didn't notice it earlier. Thank you people of Philadeliphia!

We are pretty excited that we have reached the top spot on Tripadvisor here Boston, it is by far a really cool thing to achieve and we really have to thank all you Cashunters that made it possible. Our mission on ever game is to give you the very best live gaming experience there is and so far we are achieveing this and the response has been fantastic! This 10th season have been full of surprises and each day brings something new and we are ready for each and every challenge that comes our way. Bringin' Sororities Into The Dash!

One of the markets we tested last year and it did pretty well was the Sorority market oddly enough. It did pretty well because for the sororities it was an ice breaker for new and continueing members. We of course customized it to fit the organization so it would have a more personal fit to the game. So after a few tweaks we will be presenting The Soroity Dashunt this September! It will be introduced in two different ways one as a Sorority vs Sorority competition which we think is a perfect competition to host and our other will be a me completely customized solely to Soroity so it could be a little educational if the client wants to take it that way. The games as always will be conducted in Boston and bookings will begin in late August.

PLAYERS TO VIEW PICTURES & VIDEOS ONLINE!

Howdy folks i know it has been a long time since our last post but to be honest it has been insanely busy and there is so so much going on that it has been overwhelming! But we are luvin' it to say the least :) Like I said there is a lot going on and we will fill you in with all that information in our next posts in the coming days and weeks we promise. But one thing that we want to make official is a little change coming in the future.... ever since our inception we always handed the client with the pictures from their event. At the begining it was via Poloroid pictures when we were using instant cameras to currently where we are giving the client a dvd containing all the photos and videos from their game. But starting in July we will have all players and clients from their respectful games access their pictures and videos online and it will be password protected. By doing this everyone will have access to their game pictures & videos within 24hrs as opposed to wait for a copy of the DVD that was given to the client. With our research we found out most players never got a chance to view the pictures and videos from their game because one person holds the DVD, now everyone will enjoy them equally. So we think this is a step in the right direction and I am sure everyone will be happy with this post game change. We would like to hear your opinion about this if you think it is indeed a good idea..

An Amazing 9th Season Championship!

On April 11th we held our 9th Annual Cashunt Championship and I must say I witnessed two of the best teams compete in a very challengeing "Hide N' Seek" competition. The teams in the final were Jumpstart from the jumpstart group and The Mustachios from the Till Group. These two teams during their regular season games did amazing and their energy and competitive nature were unmatched to the 87 other winning teams of the year...so this was a Championship made in heaven! The game that was representing the championship was Cashunt's Hide N' Seek. Hide N' Seek is played in 2 stages where teams are set forth to find multiple envelopes that are hidden around the city that contain different challenges and the come back in the second stage and retrieve another game card that will lead them to 4 more new location of mystery envelopes. Both teams started off in a flash but when the smoke settled Jumpstart came out not only as Cashunt's all time regular season record holders but also as our Cashunt Season 9 Champions! Great competition, great weather , fantastic teams wecouldn't ask for more! Next championship promises to be even better with the newly named Dash Cup 10!

Memorial Day Weekend and 4th Games Coming Soon!!
In conjunction to my last blog...seasonal games or holiday games really have hit their mark as of late especially with families and for people wanting something different to do on a holiday weekend. With the latest holiday day games one being the St.Patty's Day Dash and the just concluded Bunny Hunt we are seeing a new side direction. In the upcoming months we will have 2 new holiday games available for the public. Those games will be specially designed for the memorial day weekend and the other will be for the fourth of July. Keep in mind that these games are not going to be month long games they will be specialty games that will be offered for one or two days. If we see a surge of interest coming for these games similar to the recent holiday games that just past we will add another day. We just see this as a great alternative and choice when you are chooseing your cashunt game :)

Bunnies and Shamrocks!
Our seasonal games have really picked up some steam as of late... It was totally a test to see if the public would like games that have a little bit of a seasonal theme to it. We had a few older types of games that we introduced a few years ago that had a seasonal theme (holiday hijinks and the haunted dash) but we never thought of other holidays such as St. Patty's day, Easter, 4th of July etc. So this year we figured it would be best to try the those types of events. Thus far the St. Patty's Dash was fantastic and this years Bunny Hunt looks like is gaining it's own popularity with families. I am a huge believer of escapism and competition and I think that is why these games are gaining more and more popularity. When we first started 10 years ago the company was strictly dealing only with bridal parties now it has grown leaps and bounds with everything under the sun especially with families.

A little overwhelming....
It's been an amazing first couple of months and we just started our 10th season. Besides being really excited about what we have in store for all players this year, the media keeps knocking on our door. It is a little overwhelming for that to happen all of the sudden and we are greatfull for those that have contacted us and having us share the experience of the game. On top of that without really me knowing anything untill recently we are now ranked 4th best attraction in Boston out of 330!! (as of this blog) on Trip Advisor.com here in Boston. WHAT?!!? how did that happen?!? We must have been doing something right and to us that is the most important thing we could ever ask for and we thank all of you that have made that happen! One thing we always believe is give our players the very best product, amazing customer service, at a fantastic price and constantly listen to our players. Season 10 Has Begun!!
The 10th season kicked off a lot earlier than usual which is a pretty good indication on how this season will look like. We started the season off with one of our newer games called "The Flip Hunt" which basically an all video competition which became a huge hit on it debut. When that happens to one of the newer games that is a pretty good sign, because you can't assume that all the new games that we add year after year will become hits. When it comes to this part of the year we get really excited as to what we have planned out and we can't wait to get the ball moving and meet this season's cashunters. Season 10 is Looking Pretty Good..
This season (season 9) is weeks away from officially being completed and what a year it was! New records, new games, and one heck of a ride that proved that Season 9 was a huge success...but Season 10 is looking fantastic. As you might well be aware 2010 will be our 10th anniversay and what we have in store for our players is yet more new games and retweeking some of our popular titles making all our games "fresh and new". We have taken the liberty of asking old players about suggestions about our current games and inserting their thoughts into our 10th Season. Right now we can not officially release what those new games are but they will be revealed at the begining of the year that will also introduce and brand new website that currently looks fantastic. I hate to keep things secret or vague but at this point it's what makes it exciting.. more info coming soon!

We are in the process of designing a completely "Green Game" for 2010. The game will be as "Green" as possible using recycled materials for our game packets , shirts, bags, papers, props, you name it. The other aspect of the game will be that the 2 hr game will have more of an enviromental theme on most aspects of the game while still holding true to our Cashunt foundation of 6 games in one. The other great aspect is that with each game a percentage will be going to an Massachusetts Enviromental / Green Non Profit Organization. We are going to be to be doing our research on which organization would work best, if there are any suggestions please feel free. This will official kick off our "Color Dashunts" which will also include our "Pink Dashunt" for Breast Cancer. More information when it's set for release.

Championship To Be Pushed To April 2010

Due to the unexpected traffic that we have this ninth season of the game, we are booked right into the 1st week of December which is uncanny. The norm usually is that the season ends in October and then we have our annual Championship in November. But with the recent press and the fantastic response to the game our season is extended. Due to this we want every team to get a shot at the championship, but we can't obviously hold a championship in December due to the weather. So we came with a decision to hold the championship in April, because the weather is much better and the game we have planned for the championship "hide n' seek" is best played in better weather conditions. If we see this growing into a trend again next year, all our championships will be performed the following spring. The top 4 will be notified immediately after the season is done, so check the leader board and see where you currently rank. I know to some of you it might be a dissapointment but we think it's in the best interest of all the teams that are playing in the current season to get a shot..we hope you understand..

Museum Hunts To Start In The Early Winter To Late Spring..
We have stalled on this game just to perfect it.. what we want to do is with this type of game is to give a great amount of game for your money, that seems to be the mission with our company. It will be different than the typical Cashunt game and some of the museum games that are there today It actually will be a completely different game in a whole..which will make it interesting for the players that play it. The museum's that will hold these games will be a few museums in Boston and the New York City area. The great thing about these games is that they will be great for all ages, the pricing is excellent, it will be educational as well as competitive. And yes the winning score will be ranked for our 10th championship in the Fall 2010. Museum Admission will be included in the price.. We will make our final annoucement in the coming month, these games will be public as well as private..

New Prizes Set For Season 10

I just got back from the printer today to look at new designs we have come up with for new t-shirts for prizes next year. Now these are not the "run of the mill" t-shirts, they are fun, funky and a great t-shirt to wear out, plus they will be limited editions. There will only be 4 designs for the 2010 season but after looking at the new designs I am really pleased. The other question hovering over our heads is if there are games that only consist of two teams should the second place team get a prize? We are still trying to work out what that prize might be, but it has to be not as great as the first place team's prize obviously. Because if all the teams got an equal prize, then the post game competition level decreases...

We Are About To Make Things Interesting For The Championship :)

As some of you are clearly aware the Championship is slowly approaching and we can't wait!!! But this year we might throw in a little twist.. In a couple of weeks all winning teams will be contacted in regards to a new challenge to basically boost their score and possibly enter the final four. How this is going to work is that all winning teams will be given a clue as to where a "Golden Ticket" for a 1000 points is hidden. Once that clue is given out the first team to find it and photograph themselves with it will recieve and additional 1000 points to their current score ranking. What is exciting about this is that any team can sabotage a current top 4 contender or a top 4 contender can strengthen their lead with this additional 1000 points. In the end this will turn interesting and exciting! We will provide you with further infor in the next two weeks, past players check your e-mail during the first week of September.

MY BIG FAT GREEK CASHUNT?!?
Cashunt Games in Athens, Greece?!?, well it might become a reality in the future. Our mission here is to go one step at a time when it comes to expansion of this game, so we are researching this possibility very closely. It would obviously not be an every week situation in Athens but it would be something that would happen maybe a couple of times during the summer. What we thought of and our disscussions with certain tour groups is to throw a different spin to the typical tour offering of Athens. By adding a Cashunt is Athens tour groups would not only be playing a fun, funny, and competitive game but they will also be going on an impromtu tour of athens. Also the group will recieve a cd containing all the photos and videos from their Cashunt: Athens event for free. We think this is a no brainer as this is does not exsist in Athens at all. The tickets will be very affordable for such an event....this event would start taking place as early as 2010 or 2011. BRIDAL DASH GETS A LITTLE MORE DASHING!
We are going to take our popular Bridal Dash and make it even little more challengeing. Now we do a little changing to our anchor games every year, but with the Bridal Dash we are going to customize it even more. As some of you might know that have played Bridal Dash there is a bonus round theme hunt based on the bride. We are going to tweek that a little and are going to add more to theme hunt by customizing other players into that bonus round. This is something we wanted to do in the 8th season but it was too late into the season, this updated round will appear in Bridal Dash booklets in the Fall. Bottom line we constantly want to keep the game challengeing at every level and have our players have the ultimate scavenger hunt experience!

Hello Cashunters, I hope all of you had a great holiday weekend this past week. We are now in the half-way point of our current season of Cashunt and we are very pleased thus far. One question we get a lot of is "do you usually produce the game in certain cities?" The answer to that question is yes....we like to concentrate on one major city at a time. Our current Cashunt cities are Boston, New York City, Chicago, and Las Vegas.. By putting our total focus one city at a time we believe will give our players the ultimate product for our industry in that city. With that being said if a client calls from a "non-cashunt city" we will be more than happy to produce a game for them we have no problem with that of course. But by doing a "less is more" way of picking cities will make our product that much more successful, this was and is our philosophy from the begining. The next cashunt cities we are looking at.. is possibly Hollywood, San Fransisco and Miami. We will make that annoucement when we make it official..

CHI-TOWN IS GETTING HOT!

Chicago is becoming a hot and a great location for our Cashunt games! In Chicago we are now offering 4 of our top games: The Dash, The Amazing Chicago Dashunt, Bridal Dash and our Birthday Hunts. Our games take place in most of the key areas of Chicago The Loop, Millenium Park, Navy Pier, Grant Park, and Daley Plaza just to name a few.. I Think what sets us apart from other games in the industry is that our product offers a great deal of game for a very great price and also the game doesn't always end that day...there's more to it. We used the same blueprint in Chicago that we have always used in Boston that has made Boston a top city for Cashunt with our Boston clients and we continue to use the same blueprint in New York City and Las Vegas. One Team Breaks A Three Year Record Only For It To Be Broken Again!

Ok..ok what is going on Cashunters!! Is it something in the water or what?! We have seen teams every week for the past 9 years and all of them young or old have had a competitive edge to them...but not like Season 9! This year most of the teams playing are really pushing the envelope to secure a spot in the finals in the Fall. A month ago we had the Mamma Jammas come in and play the game and wipe out a three year record that was held by Fidelity Investments, only to be broken this past week. Chris Damianakos our head game coordinator mentioned this past week the "Perfect Persians" team came in and right before the game even started vowed to be in the top four. To his surprise not only did they get into the top four but they wiped out the Mamma Jamma's record! Damianakos said that this is what the game is all about and this year's Championship is promising to be a battle for the crown. But Cashunters we are only in June and there are another 5 months left so who knows by then who the top four will be or even if the Perfect Persians will be able to hold on to their title.

WOW! WHAT A SEASON THUS FAR! TEAM BREAKS FIDELITY'S RECORD!

Ok our reaction has not been that explosive as it is this year, but like I have mentioned before this is by far the best season of the last 9 years. Why you may ask? The teams have been fantastic and extremely competitive in the first quarter of this season! We have also seen the top four change completely 7 times and the Record for the highest score of all time was broken last week by the Mamma Jammas! Fidelity has owned that record for 3 years their score of 12,425 (an unbeatable score) was blown wide open by the Mamma Jammas with 12,800! With that score I think that will secure this team a position in the Championship, but then again the way this season has been going anything can happen!

HUNT AND BE HUNTED BY OTHER TEAMS!

Rememeber when you play a Cashunt no matter what version you are playing always expect the unexpected! When it comes to days where there are multiple games being conducted on the same day, we set teams from one game hunting for another. The beauty of this bonus round is that not only are players playing against their own group but they are playing against other teams from other games for contention for a spot in the finals. So with those two dynamics it causes a hysterical frenzy for teams hunting teams all around the city. For example this past saturday we has 5 different games 10 different teams all hunting one another unknowingly, it was a fun little test but the outcome was fantastic. So expect the unexpected when you play the game because you never know what we have up our sleeve...

TOP 4 CHANGING ALMOST EVERY WEEK!

In the 9 seasons of Cashunt I think this is the first time that the top four are changing a little more rapidly than in the past. Which tells us that the competition level to be placed in the final four has definately been raised. Usually when you are either in first or second place in the past that means you pretty much reached an untouchable score and is a given that you are in the finals at the end of the season, not so in Season 9. The top 2 spots have changed 3 times in the last 3 weeks, and that is truly amazing to see being that we are only 8 weeks into the season! We have much more game play coming up so just when you think you have a comfortable lead guess again , because it might get wiped away very soon..

Twithunt Beta was a success!

This past weekend we added a beta bonus round in our new Hide and Seek game in Boston. The beta bonus round was a round that was used with twitter. Both teams had to have at least one smart phone on their team, where in turn they would get special instructions to race around the city via twitter looking for bonus items that were planted The other attraction was people outside the game could in fact follow the game and also be a part of the game in some form. The end result was exciting and in turn the test was a success. The Twithunt Bonus round will be included in only some of our games this summer.. If you want it to be included in your game please indicate that with a game coordinator.

Salem Ma will have Cashunts starting in June..

For the past 9 years we have always hosted our Cashunt: Haunted game series in September and October. But in the past couple of years we have been getting requests as to having cashunt games in Salem in the summer. With that being said as of June 1st we will be having games in Salem, Ma! Now for obvious reasons it will not be Cashunt: Haunted that has it's place in Salem in the Fall, but it will contain a couple of elements of that game in the summer game. The other great thing about the salem game is that it will be in classic cashunt form 6 games in one and will be 2 hours long. The cost for this game will be $30 per person for kid games it will be $20 per child. As always if you want it to be customized to your group not a problem.. Hide and Seek is now now avialable for bookings for the 2009 season. This game will also be the championship game for the Cashunt Championship IX, so we are pretty excited about that also. Hide and Seek as mentioned before will set teams on a wild hunt for envelopes, but each envelope will consist of special challenges or points. The special challenges we have in store are funny, creative , competitive and each game will be different each time.

Hello Everyone! First of all thank you afor enjoying our podcast, thank you for the nice comments. It's been a couple of weeks since my last post, but we are heading into busy time again so it's getting try.
So what I want to mention are a couple of things first is we are going to offer an incentive plan for past players. How this is going to work is if you are a past player of Cashunt and you refer a person to us you might get compensated. The person you refer would need to call us mention your name and the names of the teams that played in your game and if we book them, you get $25 sent to you! We tried this last year and it worked very well, and it was some free money to our past players. This promotion will start as of June 1, 2009..
The last thing I want to mention is of our last new game for 2009 "Hide and Seek"...This game will consisit of a bunch of strategically placed envelopes hidden around the city. Once your team reaches an envelope it will consist of a different challenge, what is going to be great about this is that the game will start a week prior to the game itself via the internet... What are the challenges that will be in those envelopes? That there is the mystery in itself..

Another Boston Mad Dash Is Coming!

We will again be having another Boston Mad Dash this summer so get you partner and get prepared for a fun time! We are booking College Games!
We are now booking games that are specially customized for Colleges. The game is called "The Dorm Dash!" which the premise of the game is a 6 game Dorm vs. Dorm competition. We had a test game last fall to much success and is now avaialble for bookings for 2009. Meet Your Season 9 Leaders
A Score That Will Be Tough To Beat!

It's only week two of Season 9 of Cashunt and we already have a team to beat...yup that's right. The Debuantes scored 11,050 points which not only is it a high score to begin with but almost broke the all time record that is being held by Fidelity Investments! They did so well that we actually might see this team at the end of the season. It's not to often you see 10's or in this case 11's in this game. Also, this was a four person team that did this in the dead of winter. One Word...Impressive. So we here at Cashunt tip our hats, and wish you the best of luck.. 2 Championships in 2009 ?

This might be true if our plans make it so. As most of you know Cashunt hosts a championship game at the end of the year, that involves the best 4 teams of the season to declare that years champion. Now there might be another season running at the same time with the new game DASHUNT. Dashunt will be a one team game that at the end of their game their points will be put against other teams that month. If they win the month then they will qualify to the Dashunt Championship in November against each winner of each month that season. Which means In the final it will be 10 teams going against each other for the championship. As always we love the competition and by adding another season of another game just makes it even more interesting and exciting. We provide our clients excitement, competition, orginality, fun, value, and the best all around multi game scavenger hunt game on the market today!

THE SECRET RACE IS READY TO RUN!

Hope all is well with everyone and your shopping is going well. As you might remember a few months back we spoke of a game we were desiging that was called The Secret Race. That game was supposed to be 8th season's championship game but got replaced with the new "ZIG ZAG" game. We we are happy to say that as of May 2009 The Secret Race will be ready for playing. I know in the past I have been excited about certain games, but this one I think takes the cake. It is much different than what we have done in the past and it stands alone. The game is about secrets and it involves secrets that involve the individuals , the team , or the game. Challenges will be selected by the teams instead of the game coordinators, which makes it much different because even we will not even know the outcome of each team. There is also going to be a situation where the teams will be given a choice to totaly take over the other teams path and really destroy them. But of course that doesn't mean the other team is not doing the same thing :) In the end the challenges in true Cashunt tradition will bring competition, fun, and laughs in the end and we are sure that will enjoy the Secret.

Exciting Things Planned For Season 9!

We are already finalized with the new changes for 2009. We will be introducing not 3 as mentioned before but 7 new exciting games for 2009! Those games will include ZIG ZAG, ZOO HUNT, Cashunt Truth and Dare, Museum Madness, The Digital Race, Cashunt TWIST and The Mad, Mad, Dash! These 7 new games will deliver fun, excitement, great challenges and what we like to call great live packaging of a game. Each game can be customized and in the tradition of Cashunt each will have multiple level/games in each game, always providing non -stop excitement. Also we will be retiring 2 of our games and packaging them for home games, those will be The Turkey Hunt and The Movie Dash. All games will be available in early part of 2009 (April) but can be booked starting Jan 1, 2009

Championship Might Be Pushed Two Weeks

There could be a very good chance that we might have to push the Championship two weeks because of the season extending into November. We are very pleased as to what we have seen this season and the demand has become stronger for most versions of the Cashunt family of games. Fall Cashunts

I know it has been some time since my last blog but we have been so busy as of late that there was just no time. I hope all is well out there and you are having a nice Fall season. What I would like to talk about is our Fall hunts this season. As you might know we are in the middle of Cashunt Haunted season in Salem, Ma as well as our continuing Cashunt games in Boston. Some people are calling in regards to our Haunted Dash in Salem and asking us about possible games in November. To be honest, having a Haunted Dash in November really defeats the purpose, you really want to play the game during Salem Haunted Happenings Event in all of October, it's much more fun. FIDELITY Takes The Top Spot Breaking Team Leigh Roy's 17 Week Streak!

After dominating the top spot for 17 weeks Team Leigh Roy fell to the hands of Fidelity. Fidelity twice in a row in 2007 broke the season record and now in 2008 did it again. This group has always been very competitive with A LOT of energy, a no challenge seems to big. The winning team of the group "Team Quality" shown above beat six other teams, captured the win and captured the record. As always I tip my hat, and as always it was a pleasure.

This week we decided to expand our sucessful teambuilding department to include far more exciting games for our corporate clients. Our mission is not to ever be typical but original and exciting, so with that being said these new games ontop of our current teambuilding games will bring our clients that. Man, what a day first we have some sun today, then it is HOT as hell and now I am trapped in a store praying for Hanna to stop all this while there are 2 games going on?!?!? The good thing is that my teams do not mind it one bit, so in that case, it's not all that bad. Where is my umbrella?!?!
