Season 14 Update    The best thing that makes our work exciting is giving the players something new.. and it always becomes a reinvention of the product at some scale every year.  So as we enter our upcoming 14th Season we are placing together something that I believe will be our best version yet!    Some of you that have played our games already know that we always have something "tucked" away in the pages of our game booklets that will lead to new challenges.  This gives the players the surprise element of these new secret challenges ..that could range from a singing competition to retrieving additional hidden items around the city.  So the game books NEVER become predictable even to those "veterans" that have played our games several times before.  So as the saying goes expect the unexpected!    With that said we are making the games even more interactive where technology will play an essential part of the Cashunt game experie...

   First of all I hope everybody is back on track after the Blizzard we had this past weekend.  When it comes to our library of games mostly all of our games are private and only one is public, which is the Boston Mad Dash.  With that said we are going to offer another one of our games that can be played either as a private and a public game and  that will be the popular Boston Mad Dash Deluxe.  The BMDD has been a popular staple in private events now for the past 3 years..so we thought it would be a perfect fit for a public game.     The BMDD is a 3 1/2 hour event that starts off from Harvard Square and ends off in the Faneuil Hall area.  The public version of the game will be offered on the first Sunday of each month starting on May 5th thru September 8.  You will be able to purchase tickets online through eventbrite.com, active.com, and boston.com.  As always public games will always be public vs public event..we only al...

  Last year we tried to make the game have more of a "post game appeal" after one has competed in one of our Cashunt games.  So what we decided to do with the game design of the book is to put some hidden codes within, which could be activated at any given moment  (days, weeks, or even months) after one has played an actual Cashunt.  Initally people that play a Cashunt game will be handed their game materials back at the end of their experience, so they can keep the booklets as a souvenir.   So as we noticed more so with repeat players, that they tend to keep all the game booklets from different seasons , we thought..let's have the game booklet take on a life of itself.   With that said we placed hidden clues within the game booklets that would be hidden to the naked eye and be more visible once we "activate them".  Once activated it will give our players a chance to find the clue in the game booklet, that will eventually lead them to a voucher hi...

   So here we are 2 weeks into our 13th season and the new design has been played by  (handful of games / 10 different teams) and the result was positive…WHEW!  As I had mentioned in the previous post about reinvention…it's always good to be fresh..but in the same instance (the "reinvention") has to work or it will backfire and then we will have a downslide.  Fortunately other than a couple of suggestions about "additions" to the game..straight A's across the board!  Thank you!      Some people in the past have suggested to take the game more into the virtual world and have the game done all by smartphone.  Look I know that exists and the companies that are using that platform are doing very well and more power to them…Cashunt is not that.  The only tech aspect we are using on our game is only 10% and that is through QR codes..other than that it's all physical materials.        Call us old school but I believe...

 First of all HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!  We hope you all enjoyed your holiday season, it's always a great time but it just goes by too fast..   So new year  and for us new season, which we are excited about as you can imagine.  With that said it's that time again for "reinvention", which has become an annual tradition here at  Cashunt for the past several years.  The goal is pretty simple…change some of the game  and make it fresh which includes the game's foundation and design.  So with that said I just looked at the new design and I am pleased and excited for this years version.      You maybe be asking what is the difference from the past few years, (that question is usually brought up by repeat players that have played the game before).  With out letting the "cat out of the bag" and sounding a tad vague,  what we can tell you is that the game is no longer "6 challenges rolled into on zany game" it's much mor...

What we strive to do is always push the envelope and be the best product in our industry, and what we are about to do is no different.  As some of you know twice a year we have "Flash Public Hunts" that are open to the general public that can win some cool prizes (Hard Rock Cafe Gift Certificates right to Celtics Tickets)  the result of these public hunts are fantastic..but this time we are changing the way we present these "Flash Public Games".           This time around anyone that has played any of our Cashunt Games from this season and on will have an advantage to these cool prizes.  So after your game (KEEP YOUR GAME BOOK!!) because that book will be the key to these cool prizes.  As of now these Flash Public Games will only be open to all of our players and no longer open to the general public.  Your gamebooks will have hidden clues within it that will lead you to the location of these cool hidden prizes.  You might look...

So as we approach our 12th season of Cashunt in a couple of weeks we always love to recreate ourselves this time of year just to make things always "fresher" for our upcoming players.  So what do we have in store this upcoming season will involve a few different aspects to the game in a tech level as well as a strategic level. How we are coming to approach this aspect of our games will be by us including 4 additional pages to our game books.  Now by what we have seen thus far it looks pretty cool and we also included these new aspects in "test games" this past summer to see if they indeed work and they did perfectly.  A couple of weeks ago we had a viral campaign called Operation: Lenguini that if read closely led the public to some cool promotional prizes as well as one individual scoring a pair of tickets to an upcoming bruins game in a week from now.  As always we encourage our readers to follow us on our facebook and twitter pages, at times we issue viral campai...

So after really trying to design and redesign the Boston Mad Dash Deluxe so it would make a worthy sequel to the original BMD, it was time to give it a go on 2/19.  We started off at Harvard Square in Cambridge, Ma and had all the teams ready for what was going to be a fun and most importantly unexpected experience.  The challenges that were set forth were place perfectly throughout the city and fell perfectly onto this new game pallet . At the end of the event we regrouped at the Hard Rock Cafe at Faneuil Hall, and the response was fantastic!...WHEW!  There is nothing more nerve racking during the launch of a new game then awaiting the review.  In the end.. the reviews were brilliant and that is always the most satisfying aspect to a new game.  Deluxe presents a longer and more wide spread game then it's original, at the end of the day bigger is not always better but better is bigger. Hello Cashunters, This update is all about the team pictures and videos our clients receive from their game.  As always clients receive all their photos and videos from their game where they can download them for Free throughout the whole season.  Being that we are using a 3rd party site in order to host all those files/folders, it has come to our attention that there is good chance of it crashing unless we maintain and trim out the weight from time to time.  With that said, all team files will be available for download  for a three month time period from the time of your game.  If you still want a copy of your event's media files after that time period we can send them to you on a DVD for a small fee.  If you have any questions please feel free and you can speak to a game coordinator by calling 866-276-4733. As always this time of year we always have great promotions when it comes to the upcoming season!  So this Holiday Season we will be offering a 10 player package Boston Mad Dash Game for any date in the upcoming year for simply $300 that is a $50 savings from the retail price of $350.  A normal ticket price for a Boston Mad Dash Scavenger Hunt competition is $35pp but with this special promotion the ticket price will be $30pp.  When you purchase your gift certificate it would be a good idea to let us know a date you have in mind especially if it is a weekend... If you don't, no worries you can let us know at a later time (we would suggest a month prior to the date your looking at)  for more information about this promotion you can speak to a game coordinator and we will give you all the details.  This promotion ends 12/31/10.

As we do every year we introduce a couple of new games for our library and retire some old ones.  There will be 5 news games that will be included in the 11th Season of Cashunt. Two that we can announce right now will be The Singles Dashunt and The Boston Mad Dash DELUXE.  The ever popular Boston Mad Dash will continue to be offered to the public, but in Deluxe it will be a much bigger game with a bigger playing field (a big chunk of Boston) new challenges and one hour longer (3hrgame).  So if you have played the original and want a new challenge I think Deluxe will be perfect.  We tested the new version out in October and the reviews have been great..so we honestly do not see anything we need to tweak on Deluxe as ready to go on 3/1/11.    The other game we would like to announce that will be available starting 2/12/11 will be "The Singles Dashunt"  this game will be offered once a month and will be geared to singles.  We just felt with speed d...

PLAYERS TO VIEW PICTURES & VIDEOS ONLINE! Howdy folks i know it has been a long time since our last post but to be honest it has been insanely busy and there is so so much going on that it has been overwhelming!  But we are luvin' it to say the least :)  Like I said there is a lot going on and we will fill you in with all that information in our next posts in the coming days and weeks we promise.  But one thing that we want to make official is a little change coming in the future....  ever since our inception we always handed the client with the pictures from their event.  At the begining it was via Poloroid pictures when we were using instant cameras to currently where we are giving the client a dvd containing all the photos and videos from their game.  But starting in July we will have all players and clients from their respectful games access their pictures and videos online and it will be password protected.  By doing this  everyone will h...

What a Wild Weekend! This past weekend is sure to go down as one of the wildest Cashunt weekends we ever had in the history of the game. We had 3 games all starting and ending one hour from one another, also it was marathon weekend, a huge pub crawl, and Bruins / Monteral playoff game. The energy was at full tilt and it was completely exciting to say the least. Sometimes when the atmosphere is wacky during a Cashunt game it make the game that more exciting!
