6 Easy Virtual Game Night Activities!

 When it comes to ideas in regards to virtual games, it's becoming more and more of a reality during the current situation that we are in. However I do see that as a short term type of vision, but something that will be part of a branch of the team building tree. With that said I provided some cool game night ideas that you can try out when it comes to your next virtual team building, cocktail, friends night out in the comfort of your home.

Charades

Charades is a basic game that can be played on any video platform and is incredibly fun. Split the group into teams have your host provide a category to each team and let the fun begin. The person who is acting out the charade uses the Zoom "spotlight" feature for example, their team has one minute to figure out the phrase. Charades has always been a classic game, and this version has worked so well because there are laughs to be had by everyone.

Psych

From the makers of Heads Up is a party game that is simply called psych. To play this game the players make fake answers to real trivia questions, from the team one player must choose the real answer among the fake. You can make the questions be of general themes, such as movies, history, music, etc. You can also  have some fun with it and customized to the players that are playing that night.

Heads up!

This game is definitely one of the most classic modern day party games that there is today. It's a word game where players have to describe the word on the screen to the person holding the screen to their head. That can be done with a smart phone or even a tablet. You can have the host provide the words to the teams which makes things easier, the categories can range from whatever you want it to be and you can have as many people as you want participate in the game.

Virtual Picasso

In the theme of a classic games that have been played for years, Pictionary comes to mind as a game that you can simply play virtually with your friends. You can find a Pictionary word generator online.  Choose a team to play first, as well as a designated drawer on the team. The drawer in this example generates a word and has one minute draw that word for their team to guess. If the team guesses the card correctly, they get the point. The team that reaches 10 wins.

Name It

This game has been popular with players for a long time and is great for a platform like zoom. To play this game it's very simple by just picking a letter. Each participant has to list a famous persons name, place, and a thing that begins with that letter. The first player to type them into the platform chat will receive a point first player to reach 10 wins.

Trivia

This is very simple and in such a classic game. In this version the host provides the group a series of trivia questions where it could range from a variety of categories or you can customize it towards the group. So as an example the host would provide the trivia question to the participants, and each participant would send a chat answer back to the host. If indeed it is the correct answer the host will award a point to the players that entered correctly. Set a threshold number (10) for victory
